JEE Main Admit Card

JEE Main Admit Card 2020 - National Testing Agency - NTA will release the admit card of JEE Main 2020 on December 6, 2019 for January exam. JEE Main 2020 admit card will be released in online mode at jeemain.nic.in.

Aspirants can download JEE Main admit card 2020 by two methods- using the application number and password or application number and date of birth. Only candidates who complete the registration and fee payment within specified dates can download their JEE Main admit card 2020. In case of any error, they must contact NTA to rectify the errors. NTA has mandated that candidates should carry a good quality colour printout of their JEE Main admit card to be produced at the exam centre before appearing for JEE Main exam.

Important: NTA announces changes in JEE Main Exam Pattern 2020

JEE Main 2020 will be held in January and April in computer based mode. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without the proper admit card. JEE Main result 2020 for first attempt will be released on January 31 while for April attempt, it will be released on April 30.

How to download JEE Main 2020 Admit Card?




  1. Go to the official website: jeemain.nic.in

  2. Click on the admit card link

  3. There are two options to download the JEE Main admit card:

    Option 1: Through application number and password OR

    Option 2: Through application number and date of birth

  4. Click on any option to reach the admit card download screen.

  5. The procedure to download is given separately for both the options.



Whom to contact in case of any error in JEE Main 2020 Admit Card?



Candidates need to check and verify all the details which are mentioned on their JEE Main admit card 2020. All the details mentioned on it should be correct and match with details mentioned in the application form. The photograph and signature should be clearly visible. In case there is any mismatch or error in the admit card, candidates must contact NTA by sending an email with the proof of confirmation page and the admit card with errors.

Documents to carry with JEE Main 2020 Admit Card to exam Centre



Candidates must carry the following documents to the exam Centre along with the JEE Main 2020 admit card on the exam day. The list is given below




  • Passport size colour photograph (same as the one used in JEE Main application form)

  • Valid photo ID like Aadhar, Voter ID, Passport, School Identity Card/ PAN Card/ Driving License/ Ration Card

  • PwD certificate in case of candidates who belong to the category



Exam day instructions mentioned on JEE Main 2020 Admit Card



Candidates should follow the instructions for exam which are mentioned on their JEE Main 2020 admit card. These are




  • Candidates should reach the exam centre at least two hour in advance to the start of exam.

  • If possible, Candidates should visit the exam centres once before the exam day to have proper idea of route and traffic. This could save their time and would avoid last minute hassle on the day of exam

  • Candidates should bring all the necessary items which need to be carried to the exam centre.

  • Candidates should not bring any prohibited items along with them at the exam centres

  • Candidates are advised not to indulge in any unfair means during the exam

  1. The procedure to download the JEE Main admit card is the same as in January attempt.

  2. However for candidates who have appeared for both January and April, there are separate download buttons for the admit card

  3. The January JEE Main 2020 admit card can be downloaded using the �Download admit card� button that can be seen on the left hand side menu exclusive for January attempt..

  4. The JEE Main admit card for April can be downloaded from the download link visible on the window.

JEE Main 2020: Exam Date, Pattern & Eligibility Criteria

JEE Main 2020 Exam Dates has been released. Applications will be started from 2nd September 2019. It will be organized by the newly formulated body National Testing Agency. This is a national level screening test conducted every year to offer admission into B.E, B.Tech, B.Plan and B.Arch programmes. As per the decision of HRD Ministry, the entrance test of JEE Main from the year 2019 onwards is being held twice in the months of January and April.

JEE Main 2020 Eligibility Criteria



General Eligibility:




  • Qualifying Exam: Applying candidate must have passed their 10+2 level exams or its equivalent from a recognized board or university.

  • Diploma Holders: Candidates who are holding diploma can also apply for admission but only in IITs.

  • Qualifying Subjects: Candidate in their 12th level must have passed with at least of five mandatory subjects  Physics, Mathematics along with any one from the Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or any other technical vocational.

  • Total Attempts: There will be no attempt limit to apply for this test.

  • Appearing Candidates: Candidates who are appearing for their Class 12th exams can also apply.

  • Year of Appearance: Candidates passing their 12th level exam in the year 2018 or 2019 are only eligible to apply. Also, those appearing in their 12th level in the year 2020 are also eligible to apply.



JEE Main 2020 Exam Pattern



 




  • Exam Date: JEE Main 2020 January Session entrance test will be conducted from 6th to 11th January 2020. The April Session exam will be held from 3rd to 9th April 2020.

  • Exam Mode: The entrance test will be organized in online CBT mode. However, the drawing test in Paper II will be held in offline.

  • Number of Papers: The entrance exam will be held in two papers  Paper I and Paper II. Paper I will be held for admission into B.E/B.Tech programme while Paper II will be held for admission into B.Arch and B.Plan programmes.

  • Number of Questions: In Paper I, the question paper will consist of total 90 questions. Whereas, in Paper II the question paper will contain total of 82 questions.

  • Type of Questions: The questions in both the papers will be of objective type. However, the drawing test of paper II will contain subjective type.

  • Language Medium: The question paper will be available in English, Hindi, Gujarati & some other state languages.

  • Time Duration: The time duration to complete the paper will be of 3 hours. Extra time of 1 hour will be provided to candidates with 40% disability (PwD candidates).

  • Total Marks: Paper I will be of total 360 marks. While, paper II will be of total 390 marks.

  • Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be given for every correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Karnataka NTSE result for Stage-1 exam declared: Check changes in Stage-2 exam pattern

Department of State Educational Research & Training, Bengaluru (Karnataka) has declared the results of National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) stage-1.



Candidates are advised to check the results of Stage-1 on the official website, www.ncert.nic.in



Also, the exam pattern for Stage-2 has been recently changed.



Stage-2 exam:



The stage 2 examination will take place on May 13.



Changes in exam pattern of Stage-2:




  • The Language Comprehensive Test (LCT) will not be held; only two subject (SAT & MAT) paper will be conducted

  • No negative marking will be there in stage-2 examination

  • Now the time allotted for the examination will be 120 minutes for each paper

  • The selection of the awardees will be made on the basis of total marks scored in MAT & SAT – based on merit



Cut off for the exam:



The cut off for the Karnataka NTSE Exam Stage-2 for general category is 103, for SC category is 82 and for ST category is 75
